Venkat Balakrishnan, Vice President, Asset Allocation, is responsible for managing the multi-asset class funds, particularly the target-date and target risk funds. He is responsible for developing and managing strategic asset allocations across traditional and alternative asset classes. He has 13 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mr. Balakrishnan worked as a Vice President of Multi-Asset Solutions at AllianceBernstein. He was responsible for managing the quantitative tool set used in the asset allocation process. He was also responsible for preparing the capital market assumptions and helping institutional and high-net-worth clients set their strategic asset allocations for their multi-asset class portfolios. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Business Administration degree from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.
